Anushka Sharma is a former model and well-established Bollywood actress, who was born in the holy city of ‘Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh’ on May 1st, 1988. Her father is Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, an army officer and her mother Ahimsa Sharma is a home maker. She has an elder brother Karnesh Sharma who is a producer, and earlier served merchant navy.

She started her career as a model and walked the ramp for one of the famous designers ‘Wendell Rodricks’ in the year 2008.Anushka’s filmy career started when she signed a three movie contract with Yash Raj films.
