Performance Review
Undoubtedly, “Birdman” was a Michael Keaton movie and it helped the actor establish himself in Hollywood. But it was also an Emma Stone movie that gave the young actress an opportunity to propel her acting career in the right direction.
Critics acclaimed the character of Sam as the damaged and insightful daughter of Riggan as one of the important highlights of the movie. Of course, she was a junior star in “Birdman” but she also was the hottest one around.
Her character was compared to the Lindsay Lohan’s role in Mean Girls (2004) and Emma Stone was said to be equally good at playing a serious as well as comic roles. The movie once again established that Stone can walk gracefully in between portraying a glamor girl as well as an intelligent all-around artist.
