Still Alice (2014)
Kristen Stewart had a supportive role as Lydia in this flick. However, even then her performance was widely appreciated and remembered. She played the role of the Alice Howland’s (Julianne Moore) daughter. Alice is a successful linguistics professor who suddenly faces a crisis when she is diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s.
The disease not only starts affecting her memory but she also is losing her capacity to identify people. Lydia is the youngest daughter of Alice who is rebelliously struggling to get a breakthrough as an actress in the theater. She is very close to her mother and her special bonding is revealed as the disease progresses and starts affecting their family life.

Performance Review
Usually secondary characters are not much remembered and it certainly takes exceptional talent and performance to make it memorable. And in “Still Alice” Kristen Stewart has just managed to do it with her fabulous display of subtle skillfulness that is highly relevant to the plot and her character.
Importantly, as a supporting actress, she seems quite aware of her limited space on the screen and does not seem to take away the spotlight from Moore who incidentally won the Best Actress Oscar for her role as Alice.
You cannot help but simply admire as Lydia slowly and steadily comes to terms with her mother losing her memory and the sacrifices required to keep everything stable in the family. Kristen Stewart has portrayed the feelings of forgiveness and love skillfully.
